NFL spokesperson says league has 'no issue' with players doing Trump-inspired dance on field
'It's up to the networks to cover them as they see fit,' says the NFL
The National Football League said it doesn't have any issue with players doing a dance inspired by President-elect Trump on the field after touchdowns and other plays.
"There's no issue with a celebratory dance such as what took place [Sunday] or the previous week with the 49ers on Nov. 10," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said, according to Front Office Sports. "It's up to the networks to cover them as they see fit."
Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley, Raiders tight end Brock Bowers, Lions defensive players Za’Darius Smith and Malcolm Rodriguez as well as San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa are among the players who have danced like Trump at his 2024 campaign rallies during the famous song, "YMCA."
