Ken Martin, head of the state Democratic Party organization in Minnesota, was elected on Saturday to serve as the new chairman chair of the Democratic National Committee.

Martin won the majority of the voting members on the first ballot by more than 100 votes above Wisconsin Democratic Party chair Ben Wikler, who finished second.

Outgoing chair Jaime Harrison did not seek re-election after former Vice President Kamala Harris lost the 2024 election to President Trump.
