Georgia GOP Chairman McKoon says Harris is massively underperforming with black voters

Georgia Republican Party Chairman Josh McKoon said that Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris is massively underperforming with black voters as the election gets closer. 

"The Democrat in Georgia typically is looking for the black voters share to be about 30% of the overall vote, and then they're trying to get 90% of that vote," McKoon said on the "Furthermore with Amanda Head" podcast. "Even the liberal Atlanta Journal-Constitution poll this week had Kamala Harris in the 70s with black voters."

He said that Harris isn't getting the at least 30% support she needs from black Americans.

"It doesn't appear she's getting anywhere near the 90% of that number to be competitive and to really put the state in play," McKoon said.

He said that she isn't exciting black voters and is not explaining to them why she would be a better candidate than former President Donald Trump. 

McKoon later said that rural support for Trump is massive and predicted that election night would be a good night for the 45th president. 

"What we're seeing is a monster rural Georgia turnout," he said. "Towns County, Georgia, in the northern part of the state, voted 80% for Donald Trump in 2020. Over 53% of all registered voters in Towns County have already voted."
