Advocacy group files federal complaint against Boston public schools over whites only training
"BPS appears to have affinity groups for staff that excludes certain races. There is at least one affinity group that is for ‘White Staff and Parents Challenging Racism,'" PDE's complaint read.
A parental rights advocacy group called Parents Defending Education (PDE) has filed a civil federal complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's Boston-area office against the Boston Public School (BPS) system.
The group discovered a series of internal district lesson plans that revealed BPS was organizing "affinity groups" for teachers and parents that were racially-segregated.
According to Fox News Digital, the training documents were aimed at teaching how to be less racist and not violate Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
"BPS appears to have affinity groups for staff that excludes certain races. There is at least one affinity group that is for ‘White Staff and Parents Challenging Racism,'" PDE's complaint read.
