Trump orders Justice Department to fire all Biden-era attorneys: 'We must clean house immediately'
"Over the past four years, the Department of Justice has been politicized like never before. Therefore, I have instructed the termination of ALL remaining 'Biden Era' U.S. Attorneys," Trump posted on Truth Social. "We must 'clean house' IMMEDIATELY, and restore confidence. America’s Golden Age must have a fair Justice System - THAT BEGINS TODAY!"
President Donald Trump on Tuesday night directed the Justice Department to clear out the remaining U.S. attorneys from the Biden administration, arguing the agency has become too politicized and the country must "clean house immediately."
The directive follows the White House a week earlier sending termination letters to several U.S. attorneys nationwide who had been appointed by former President Joe Biden, according to Reuters. Several U.S. attorneys also resigned Monday, and others left last week.
The department after Trump lost reelection in 2020 brought multiple criminal cases against him including ones regardin election interference and classified documents.

It is not unusual for U.S. attorneys to depart the agency when a new administration takes over, but the new administrations usually ask for resignations instead of firing the employees.
