President-elect Donald Trump is expected to nominate former Georgia GOP Sen. Kelly Loeffler to lead the Agriculture Department, according to news reports Friday.
Trump is expected to meet with Loeffler at his Florida home in Florida Mar-a-Lago on Friday afternoon, according to a CNN report.
Loeffler briefly represented Georgia in the Senate and fundraised for Trump during the 2024 election. She also grew up on a farm.
Trump has already appointed several others to serve in his administration, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Elise Stefanik and Tulsi Gabbard.
CNN also reports that Loeffler will be co-chairing Trump's inauguration.
