The bill has passed in both chambers of Congress.
President Donald Trump on Sunday declared that he will veto the defense bill that recently passed both chambers of Congress.
"THE BIGGEST WINNER OF OUR NEW DEFENSE BILL IS CHINA!. I WILL VETO!" the president declared in a short all-caps Twitter message.
The U.S. Senate on Friday decisively passed the National Defense Authorization Act by a bipartisan 84-13 vote, despite previous veto warnings.
The House on Tuesday overwhelmingly passed the bill by 335-78, despite the president's veto pledges.
"I hope House Republicans will vote against the very weak National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which I will VETO," the president tweeted on Tuesday morning. "Must include a termination of Section 230 (for National Security purposes), preserve our National Monuments, & allow for 5G & troop reductions in foreign lands!"
