Several tweets have been deleted from President Trump's Twitter account since the social media company locked the account on Wednesday.

Twitter demanded on Wednesday that three tweets be removed from the account and said that the account would be locked until 12 hours after their removal. They added that the account would continue to be locked if the tweets were not removed.

Twitter on Thursday said that the tweets had been deleted, according to reports.

"As a result of the unprecedented and ongoing violent situation in Washington, D.C., we have required the removal of three @realDonaldTrump Tweets that were posted earlier today for repeated and severe violations of our Civic Integrity policy," the Twitter Safety account said on Wednesday. "This means that the account of @realDonaldTrump will be locked for 12 hours following the removal of these Tweets. If the Tweets are not removed, the account will remain locked."

"Future violations of the Twitter Rules, including our Civic Integrity or Violent Threats policies, will result in permanent suspension of the @realDonaldTrump account," the company also warned.
