President Trump on Sunday evening retweeted and commented on a tweet that contained the hashtag "FireFauci." The tweet was referring to coronavirus task force member Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

President Trump said he likes Dr. Fauci and does not plan to fire him. "I think he's a wonderful guy," the president said at Monday's coronavirus task force briefing.

The president described the "Time to #FireFauci" remark contained within the retweet as "somebody's opinion."

Twitter users often note that when using the online platform, retweets do not equal endorsements.
