Former prisoners in Washington State can apply to work at the state's corrections bureau and possibly bank a six-figure salary while doing it.

The state in a job listing from its Department of Corrections is seeking a "Director of Person-Centered Services," one that will work to "reduce recidivism and improve the reentry of incarcerated adults."

The salary of the position ranges from around $110,000 to $130,000, with the state specifically asking for applicants who have been in prison before.

"The ideal candidate is a diligent and ambitious individual with lived experience as a former incarcerated individual," the listing says.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, the listing says, along with "an understanding of issues related to diverse DOC populations including race, ethnicity, gender and LBGTQ incarcerated individuals."
