Rev. Al Sharpton, an MSNBC host, and New York Attorney General Letitia James, were anointed with oil during a service at Cornerstone Baptist Church on Sunday.

"Cornerstone Baptist Church Senior Pastor Lawrence Aker anoints New York Attorney General Letitia James and I with oil, offering a powerful covering of prayer in service earlier today," Sharpton wrote on X in a post with video from the service.

James recently said at post-election news conference that she is prepared to "fight back" against President-elect Trump again. She described herself and other Democratic attorney generals as "guardians of the law."

During the Sunday service, Pastor Aker said, "Lord, we thank you that you called her [James] for such a time as this. Lord, let no harm or danger come around her."
