Woman amends lawsuit to allege Jay-Z sexually assaulted her with Sean Combs when she was minor
Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, issued an immediate statement demanding the accuser seek a criminal complaint.
A woman amended a federal lawsuit Sunday night alleging star rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z sexually assaulted her more than two decades ago with Sean “Diddy” Combs when she was 13.
The accuser, identified only as “Jane Doe,” said the assault happened in 2000 after she was driven to an MTV Video Music Awards after-party, according to NBC News, CNN and FoxNews.
The suit was originally filed in October in Manhattan against Combs but was refiled Sunday to add Jay-Z as a second defendant.
Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, issued an immediate statement.
"These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?" Carter said in a statement to NBC News.
"These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”
