Mother sues Mattel for accidentally printing porn site on 'Wicked' dolls packaging
"Plaintiff seeks to recover damages because the Products are adulterated, worthless, and unfit for its intended and advertised age-appropriate audience," the lawsuit reads.
A mother is Mattel suing toy manufacturing Mattel for accidentally putting a web address of a pornographic website on packaging for dolls related to the release of the "movie Wicked"
The mother, who lives in South Carolina and bought a doll, said that the link caused her and her daughter "emotional distress," according to People Magazine.
"Plaintiff seeks to recover damages because the Products are adulterated, worthless, and unfit for its intended and advertised age-appropriate audience," the lawsuit reads.
The mom argued that the mistake made Mattel's products and violated consumer-protection laws.
Mattel apologized for the mistake shortly after it happened last month and advised parents who had already purchased the dolls to discard the packaging with the web address on it.
The movie follows the success of the Broadway play "Wicked" that opened in 2003.
