Actress Julia Roberts campaigns for Vice President Harris in Georgia
During the event in Canton, Roberts pressed the crowd to get more men to vote for Harris
Actress Julia Roberts campaigned for Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris in the swing state of Georgia this week.
Roberts endorsed Harris last month and spoke at two rallies in Georgia, one in Atlanta and one in Canton, according to The Hill.
During the event in Canton, she pressed the crowd to get more men to vote for Harris.
“I believe in Georgia. I wouldn’t have come home if I didn’t believe that we can accomplish really beautiful goals that will extend beyond our state’s borders,” she said.
“I just hope that all the women here tonight talk to all the men that aren’t here tonight," she added. "And all you brave men who are here tonight, talk to all the other men who aren’t here tonight.”
Roberts attended a campaign fundraiser hosted by late night host Jimmy Kimmel for President Joe Biden before he suspended his re-election campaign.
She also urged those in the crowd to register to vote and encourage others to do the same.
