A husband and wife have been charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of a soldier at Fort Campbell, Tennessee, according to police.

The Clarksville Police Department said over the weekend that Sofia Rodas, 35, has been charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the death of Army Pfc. Katia Dueñas Aguilar, 23.

Aguilar's husband, Reynaldo Salinas Cruz, 40, faces the same charges, the Associated Press reported Sunday.

Aguilar was found dead in her home in Tennessee in May of 2024. An autopsy report showed that she had 68 stab wounds on her upper body and neck.

Aguilar was from Texas and enlisted in the Army in 2018. She arrived at Fort Campbell one year later.

She was also a part of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division.
