New York police investigate weekend attack on four synagogues, citing possible hate crime

No injuries were reported in the incident, in which the suspect smashed windows and doors.

The New York Police Department is investigating six incidents of vandalism over the weekend at four separate Jewish places of worship that are being investigated as possible hate crimes.

Security footage appears to show one suspect carried out all of the attacks – two on Friday, three on Saturday and one on Sunday, according to the department.

Authorities as of Monday morning has yet to identify a suspect.

The incident occurred at night in the Bronx neighborhood of Riverdale, north of Manhattan. No injures have been reported.

The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force tweeted a video of the suspect attacking one place, Young Israel of Riverdale Synagogue, showing him throwing rocks multiple times and kicking the glass doors and windows of the building.
