White House announces Trump will appoint Sebastian Gorka to National Security Education Board
Gorka previously served in the Trump administration
The White House on Tuesday announced that President Trump plans to appoint Dr. Sebastian Gorka to serve on the National Security Education Board.
Gorka, an ardent Trump supporter who has previously served in the administration as deputy assistant to the president, indicated that he will continue to host his talk radio show "America First."
Gorka is being appointed to serve in the position for a four-year term.
"The National Security Education Program (NSEP) is a major Federal initiative designed to build a broader and more qualified pool of U.S. citizens with foreign language and international skills," according to its website.
"It consists of nine initiatives that represent broad strategic partnerships with the U.S. education community designed to serve the needs of U.S. national security and national competitiveness. These initiatives integrate the best components of language learning and international education developed in conjunction with progressively minded partners throughout the U.S. education community," the website says.
