Tuberville releases holds on almost all military promotions
The hold will remain in place for other officers with four stars.
GOP Sen. Tommy Tuberville said Tuesday he will release almost all of the holds he has placed on military promotions over the Pentagon covering abortion-related costs for service members and their families.
“I’m releasing everybody. I still got a hold on, I think, 11 four-star generals. Everybody else is completely released from me," Tuberville said, according to NBC News.
According to The Hill, Tuberville is on board with a plan presented by fellow GOP Sens. Dan Sullivan, of Alaska, and Joni Ernst, of Iowa, that would release his holds on military officers that are at a three star level and below.
The hold will remain in place for other officers with four stars.
