State Department bans BLM, pride flags from flying at embassies under 'one flag policy'
Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued the order earlier this week after he was sworn in.
Pride flags and "Black Lives Matter" flags won't be allowed to be flown from U.S. embassies and outposts under a new Trump policy.
The Washington Free Beacon news outlet first obtained a copy of the "One Flag Policy" which says only the American flag can be flown from embassies and outposts.
"Starting immediately, only the United States of America flag is authorized to be flown or displayed at U.S. facilities, both domestic and abroad, and featured in U.S. government content," the memo states, according to the outlet.
Any state department that does not comply will face disciplinary action.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued the order earlier this week after he was sworn in.
"The flag of the United States of America united all Americans under the universal principles of justice, liberty, and democracy," the memo continued. "These values, which are the bedrock of our great country, are shared by all American citizens, past and present."
