The Department of Homeland Security has released an international, multi-platform ad campaign that warns illegal migrants to "self-deport" and that illegal migrant criminals are not welcome in the U.S.

“If you are a criminal alien considering entering America illegally: Don’t even think about it," Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem says in the ad released Monday. "If you come here and break our laws, we will hunt you down. Criminals are not welcome in the United States.”

In a one-minute video ad, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem says, " ... break the law and you'll find consequences ... "

The ad tells illegal migrants to either leave the U.S. now or face deportation.

The series of ads will run on radio, broadcast and digital platforms in multiple countries and regions in various dialects.

They also will be "hyper-targeted" through social media and text messages to reach illegal immigrants inside the U.S.

The ad campaign costs $200 million according to the news outlet Semafor
