Authorities in Atlanta on Tuesday arrested a woman in connection with the arson fire where Rayshard Brooks was fatally shot by police.

The female suspect has the same name as Brooks' alleged girlfriend. But it is not clear whether the two individuals – Brooks's alleged girlfriend and the arson suspect – are the same person.

In police body cam footage recorded during the incident that would lead to his death, Brooks claimed multiple times that he had a girlfriend named Natalie White. Authorities took out an arrest warrant for a woman with the same name last week, with officials believing she took part in the burning of the Wendy's at which Brooks was killed.

Atlanta law enforcement announced Tuesday that they had arrested White, though they did not say where. The arrest reportedly happened shortly after 3 p.m. The Fulton County Sheriff's Department confirmed the arrest on its Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon.

Brooks at the time of his death had been married with three children.
