Palisades and Eaton wildfires fully contained after more than 3 weeks
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) has said the Eaton fire damaged more than 14,000 acres (57 square km) while the Palisades Fire burnt 23,448 acres (95 square km).
Palisades and Eaton wildfires fully contained after first breaking out about 3 and a half weeks ago.
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, there were 17 people killed in the Eaton wildfire and 12 in the Palisades wildfire.
The official cause of the wildfires has not yet been determined.

Damage estimates range from $30 billion all the way up to $250 billion.
