Missouri AG steps up pressure on DOJ to turn over documents on its communications about Trump cases
Bailey wrote in a post on X that he is "filing suit against Joe Biden’s corrupt Department of Justice for stonewalling my demand for transparency and accountability into the illicit prosecutions of President Trump."
Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey is stepping up pressure on the Department of Justice (DOJ) to produce "documents, calendar appointments, meeting minutes and agendas" between the agency and the "offices of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, New York Attorney General Leticia James, and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis."
Bailey wrote in a post Sunday on X that he is "filing suit against Joe Biden’s corrupt Department of Justice for stonewalling my demand for transparency and accountability into the illicit prosecutions of President Trump."
Bailey said in a statement that his office has "reason to believe" DOJ is the "headquarters of the illicit prosecutions" against Trump.
"That’s why we’re demanding the DOJ turn over documents that we believe will expose these political prosecutions for what they are: a witch hunt," he said.
Bailey has sued New York State, arguing that its "lawfare" against Trump has harmed the First Amendment rights of Missouri residents.
