Wray says he wouldn't classify Mar-a-Lago search a raid

FBI Director Christopher Wray told a House panel on Wednesday that he wouldn't classify the search of former President Trump's home at Mar-a-Lago an FBI raid.

House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) started his questioning of Wray saying that many Republicans are calling the Mar-a-Lago search an unprecedented raid. He asked Wray if he would describe it as a raid.

"I would not call it a raid. I would call it the execution of a lawful search warrant," Wray responded. "There was no SWAT involvement."

He later said the search had "probable cause."

FBI agents obtained classified documents last August at Trump's home. He was later charged with 37 counts for allegedly mishandling classified information.
