Rep. James Clyburn says rioters at Capitol showed up at his unmarked office

House Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn has said that rioters who breached the U.S. Capitol building on Wednesday showed up at his unmarked office.

That office is "where I spend most of my time doing my work as the Majority Whip," the South Carolina Democrat said during an interview on Sunday's episode of CNN's State of the Union with Jake Tapper. 

"And for some reason, these people showed up at that office," he said, noting that another office that is clearly marked as his "was not disturbed."

The congressman said "that to me indicates that something untoward may have been going on."

During an interview that aired on MSNBC on Jan. 8 Clyburn called for an investigation: "My question is, how did they know where that office was? That to me needs a thorough investigation," he said.
