Ukraine launches massive drone strike on Moscow, surround areas, 3 reported killed

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said this was the largest attack from Ukraine in the city.

The Ukraine government said Tuesday it launched a massive drone strike against Moscow and surrounding region in Russia, amid peace talks with the United States in an effort to end the three-year war between the neighboring countries. 

At least three people were killed and 17 injured in the attack, which Russian officials said temporarily shutdown Moscow's four airports, according to the USA Today.

A total of 343 drones were used in the attack against Russia with 91 of them being over Moscow and others being over the surrounding areas.

The predawn talk occurs the same day U.S. and Ukrainian officials meet in Saudi Arabia to discuss ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.
