Former Hunter Biden business partner Bobulinski set to testify in House's Biden impeachment inquiry
Bobulinski previously produced text messages to the FBI covering his business dealings with Hunter Biden and the Chinese energy company CEFC and has publicly accused the Bidens of lying.
Tony Bobulinski, a former business partner of Hunter Biden and key witness to the Biden family attempts to court CEFC China Energy, is scheduled to appear next week for a closed-door deposition with the House Oversight Committee, a source familiar with the matter confirmed Wednesday to Just the News.
Bobulinski is set to testify at 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to Fox News Digital, which first reported on his appearance.
Bobulinksi is a key witness in the GOP-led impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden because of his front row seat to early efforts by Hunter Biden, the president's son, to cultivate a business relationship with the Chinese energy company run by Chairman Ye Jianming.
In December, Just the News reported that Congress has assembled a growing body of evidence that Hunter Biden’s dealings with that company began in 2015 and may have involved a meeting with then-Vice President Biden, before he left office in early 2017.
In fact, Bobulinski turned over text messages to the FBI centering on this early relationship, showing that Hunter Biden and his associates were exploring the relationship as early as late 2015.
One 2015 text, sent by another Bobulinski business partner explaining his plans for the deal with CEFC, referred to his efforts to bring “one of the most prominent families" in on it.
Bobulinski told the FBI in his interview for the Hunter Biden tax case that he later learned that the prominent American family was the family of Joe Biden and that Hunter Biden and his uncle, James Biden, would be “active participants” in the deal, according to the memo of the FBI interview.
“There will be a deal between one of the most prominent families from US and them constructed by me, I think this will then be a great addition to their portfolios as it will give them a profile base in NYC then la ect,” Gilliar wrote, according to the text obtained and authenticated by Just the News.
Another associate, Rob Walker, confirmed in an interview with the FBI that Joe Biden met twice with CEFC officials – once after leaving office in 2017 and another while he was still in office. The initial information was provided by IRS Whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joe Ziegler to the House Ways and Means Committee in their probe of the IRS and Justice Department investigation into Hunter Biden.
Bobulinski has publicly insisted that President Biden has lied about his knowledge or involvement in his son’s business dealings, specifically that he did not meet face to face with Bobulinski.
"Why is Joe Biden blatantly lying to the American people and the world by claiming that he did not meet with me face to face?" Bobulinski told Fox News Digital. "He should call his son Hunter and brother Jim as they can remind him of the facts. The American people deserve the truth!"
