A nonprofit group has filing an ethics complaint against GOP Rep. Dan Crenshaw for the lawmaker appearing to have said he would "kill" media personality Tucker Carlson.

Crenshaw appeared to make the comment at the end of an on-camera interview in a so-called "hot mic" moment.

“If I ever meet him, I’ll f–ing kill him,” he seems to say in a video of the interview.

The complaint was filed with the House's Office of Congressional Ethics by the American Accountability Foundation.

"On February 24, 2025 Representative Crenshaw was quoted in a conversation with @StevenEdginton stating he’d kill journalist Tucker Carlson," the group wrote on the social media platform, X Monday.

The group says it filed the complaint based on chamber rules about "conduct unbecoming of a member of the House." 

During the interview with a British journalist, Crenshaw, a retired Navy SEAL, also said he has never met the ex-Fox News opinion show host but also appeared to say he was "the worst f–ing person ever."

Crenshaw denied on X that he threatened to kill Carlson after GOP Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene asked him about it, writing "lol, no."

In the past, Crenshaw called his GOP colleagues terrorists amid the intense race for House Speaker when it took a few rounds to nominate former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.
