Six Israeli citizens were killed and at least nine others were wounded Tuesday in an apparent terrorist attack in Jaffa, a neighborhood in Tel Aviv, Israel, according to Israel's national emergency service.
The shooting attack broke out near a light rail station in the city and two of the perpetrators were killed by police, The Jersusalem Post reported.
One suspect is reportedly still present in the area.
The attack came as Iran began firing missiles Tuesday in retaliation for Israel's strikes on its proxy group Hezbollah in recent days which killed the group's leader, Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut, Lebanon.
In the early morning hours, Israel also began a ground incursion into Lebanon to fight Hezbollah and dismantle its local infrastructure.
This is a developing story.
