Stromboli Volcano looks lively from afar, as lava spills into sea

The Stromboli volcano off the coast of Sicily looked “lively” from an approaching vessel on October 9, as fresh eruptions there sent lava spilling into the sea. “It looks lively this morning,” Steven H, who recorded this video, wrote on Twitter. Italy’s Department of Civil Protection raised its alert from yellow to orange and said “a situation of enhanced volcano imbalance persists”.
