Russian foreign minister critiques US press freedoms in reference to Tucker Carlson’s Fox News exit

Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov criticized the United States’ press and free speech freedoms while chairing the United Nations Security Council meeting on Tuesday. Lavrov called former Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s exit from the news outlet a result of how the “wealth of news in the American information space has clearly suffered.” Lavrov also condemned the U.S. for refusing to issue visas to Russian journalists to cover the week-long UN meeting.
