Rep. Barry Loudermilk blasts Pentagon top brass that rebuffed Trump’s order to use troops on J6
House Administration Oversight Subcommittee Chairman Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) says according to testimony from Gen. Mark Milley, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, former President Donald Trump pre-approved the use of the National Guard or active-duty troops to keep the U.S. Capitol safe on January 6, 2021. “That was an order from the president and we know that it was taken as an order because the National Guard was already in the armory with their riot gear ready to deploy early on January 6,” he says. “So someone took that order seriously. But the issue was they never got sent until the violence was over with.”
