President Zelensky requests security guarantees from NATO as Ukraine awaits alliance membership

During a joint press conference in Kyiv with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg Thursday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his country’s “rightful place” is in NATO. “We value support from the NATO allies and support with weapons, but we want to know when Ukraine will be in NATO. And we want security guarantees on this path,” said Zelensky.
