President Biden hosts signing of Respect for Marriage Act

President Biden hosted a ceremony on the South lawn Tuesday to sign the Respect for Marriage Act. The bill passed last week by Congress mandates federal recognition for same-sex and interracial marriages. The new bill repeals the Defense of Marriage Act, which was signed in 1996. Biden was accompanied by the first lady and the vice president.
