Police order lockdown at US Capitol buildings during search for active shooter

U.S. Capitol Police have ordered a shelter in place at several buildings in Washington Wednesday as local authorities search for a possible active shooter. Local law enforcement received a call at 2:30 p.m. reporting an active shooter at the Capitol, with no further elaboration. The D.C.
