Judge allows E. Jean Carroll defamation case against Trump to move to trial

A New York judge will allow writer E. Jean Carroll’s defamation and sexual battery case against former President Donald Trump to move to trial next month. Carroll accuses Trump of defaming her on the social media app Truth Social in 2022 and of raping her in a department store dressing room in the mid-1990’s. The trial is scheduled to begin April 25.
