Trump trashes 'pitiful' jobs report, says Harris sent economy 'off a cliff'
"This administration is a big fat con job. The whole thing is dishonest. It's all misinformation and disinformation," he said.
Former President Donald Trump on Friday excoriated Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden over their stewardship of the U.S. economy in the wake of a poor jobs report.
The Department of Labor announced Friday that the U.S. economy had added 12,000 jobs in October, well below analyst predictions.
"That brand new jobs report proves decisively that Kamala Harris and crooked Joe have driven our economy off a cliff," he said at a rally in Warren, Mich. "And if she gets four more years, your family is never going to you, never going to recover from these stupid people."
"Nationwide, the economy created is the lowest number in years, pitiful 12,000 jobs last month," he added. "Hundreds of thousands of jobs less than what it should be. I never heard of 12,000 jobs. That's not even believable, and when they revise it downward, in a few weeks, it will be much lower than that. They'll have to revise it downward."
"How would you like to have an election in four days?" he asked. "And you just had the worst jobs report in the history of our country, practically?"
Trump went on to report to the government's recent admission that it overcounted job growth by 818,000 during a one-year period.
"They were fake jobs. And everyone said, Oh, the economy is finally coming back," Trump said. "This administration is a big fat con job. The whole thing is dishonest. It's all misinformation and disinformation."
