The Arizona race is poised to be an unusual contest in that incumbent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema previously left the Democratic Party. Rep. Ruben Gallego stands as the primary Democratic candidate.
Arizona U.S. Senate candidate Kari Lake's campaign has stated it raised more than $2 million in the first quarter after announcing her bid to represent the Grand Canyon State.
Lake declared her campaign in October of 2023, saying "[t]he world is on fire and it seems like every day Joe Biden wakes up and pours a little more gasoline on it."
From mid-October through the end of 2023, her campaign raked in $2.1 million, Politico reported.
"Kari Lake is outworking everyone, posting a very strong fundraising haul for her first quarter in the race. Arizona is the best pick up opportunity for Senate Republicans," Lake senior adviser Garrett Ventry said.
