Warnock campaign urges vote against Walker in order to 'stop Donald Trump'

A new campaign ad from Georgia Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock this week urges voters to cast their ballot against Herschel Walker in part as a strike against Republican former President Donald Trump.
The 30-second ad includes footage from Trump's 2024 presidential announcement made earlier this week during which the Republican politician also encouraged his supporters to back Walker for Senate.
"We must all work very hard for a gentleman and a great person named Herschel Walker, a fabulous human being who loves our country and who will be a great United States senator," Trump says.
The campaign spot then pleads with voters to "stop Donald Trump" and "stop Herschel Walker."
Warnock emerged narrowly ahead of Walker during the Nov. 8 contest, but fell short of the 50% margin necessary to avoid a runoff, leading to the Dec. 6 contest that has drawn national attention.
Democrats all already projected to secure control of the Senate with 50 seats and Vice President Kamala Harris's tie-breaking vote, meaning control of the chamber does not ride on this election.
Trump narrowly lost Georgia in the 2020 presidential election and the state became the focus of controversy amid widespread claims of election irregularity there.
