Trump cuts town hall short in suburban Philadelphia after two medical emergencies in crowd

GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump was forced Monday night to cut his town hall-style campaign event short in suburban Philadelphia as a result of two medical emergencies – first having the production crew play music, then going off stage without answering more audience questions.

First, a person in the crowd had a medical issue, resulting in Trump, a former president, pausing the event. South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem was moderating a discussion with Trump when the second medical emergency occurred. 

"We have incredible people that come here hours before and it's a little hot, so they're with us all the way, respect them and you take your time doctor," Trump said.

Trump and Noem noted that the room was lacking proper air conditioning.

“They probably can’t afford it, sir, in this economy,” Noem joked.

Trump asked that “Ave Maria” be played after the first medical issue. When the second medical emergency occurred, Trump requested that Italian opera singer Luciano Pavarotti’s version of "Ave Maria" be played. 

“Let's just listen to music," Trump said. "Let's make this a music fest." 

Before asking for another song to be played, Trump said he is running against a "corrupt" Democratic political machine.

He eventually left the stage and didn't answer further questions.
