Kari Lake says she wishes the RNC had worked harder at bringing more awareness to election integrity

Republican gubernatorial candidate for Arizona Kari Lake says she wishes the Republican National Committee had spoken out more about election integrity.

"I really wish the RNC would have been more vocal and worked harder during 2020 instead of falling in the trap of 'we can't talk about what happened in our elections'" Lake said on the Tuesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "We certainly can talk about it. When we see our government messing up, when we see our elections fraught with problems — we can speak out. We have freedom of speech, and I wish they would have done more. We wouldn't have found ourselves in this position." 

However, Lake did say that the RNC has been helpful to her with her case regarding the 2022 election.

Lake announced last week that she sued Maricopa County to force it to release documents about voting irregularities in the midterms, a prelude to a larger legal challenge of the election results, which can only occur after the election has been certified. Many voting centers in Maricopa County experienced issues with election equipment, including many ballots being rejected by tabulators and voting machines not having enough ink. 

"The RNC has been a bit helpful for me," Lake stated. "And we're trying to get them to be even more helpful right now in our case. I'm gonna leave that out there."

The current chair of the RNC is Ronna McDaniel. My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell recently announced that he would be running against her. GOP New York gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin has been rumored to possibly run as well. 

"I know that many people want to run for that position and we should let people vote and decide who they want to run the RNC," Lake concluded.
