Guam elects GOP House delegate for first time in three decades

The U.S. territory Guam on Tuesday elected a Republican to its at-large House delegate position for the first time in more than three decades. 

James Moylan won over Democrat Judith Won Pat 52.19%–47.15%, according to unofficial election results from the Guam Election Commission.

Before Tuesday, Guam had only elected one Republican congressional delegate, Vicente Blaz, who lost reelection in 1992.

Guam's current delegate, Democrat Michael San Nicolas, was referred by the House Ethics Committee in June to the Justice Department for alleged campaign finance crimes.
