Bret Baier says wrong Trump clip was used during Kamala Harris interview: 'I did make a mistake'

“When I called for a soundbite, I was expecting a piece of the ‘enemy from within’ from Maria Bartiromo‘s interview to be tied to the piece from your town hall, Harris," Baier said to Harris Faulkner.

Fox News anchor Bret Baier said he made a mistake during his interview with Vice President Kamala Harris and used the wrong clip of former President Trump.

“I did make a mistake,” Baier said at the end of Special Report on Fox News on Thursday.

“When I called for a soundbite, I was expecting a piece of the ‘enemy from within’ from Maria Bartiromo‘s interview to be tied to the piece from your town hall, Harris, where you asked the former president about ‘the enemy from within,’“ Baier said to fellow Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner. ”It just had the piece about the town hall.”

Ex-Fox News host Gretchen Carlson reacted to Baier's explanation, writing on X that "when wrong clips run (which happens) hosts can easily say 'Sorry that was the wrong clip.' He or his producers would have known it was the wrong one right then."
