Biden to announce 2024 campaign via video, to name Cesar Chavez's granddaughter as manager, reports
His expected campaign advisor comes from a line of activists.
President Joe Biden is reportedly planning on launching his 2024 reelection bid in a video this week, with Julie Rodriguez, the granddaughter of labor leader Cesar Chavez, as campaign manager.
Biden has said he plans on running for the White House again, and the announcement could come as soon as Tuesday, which is the four-year anniversary of his 2020 campaign launch, according to multiple media reports.
He is expected to have Rodriguez, a senior White House adviser and Intergovernmental Affairs Director, run his campaign. She comes from a line of Democratic activists.
Biden and a producer reportedly filmed the video early this month at the first family's summer home in the Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, area after he returned from Ireland.
