University issues public apology after student behind antisemitic abuse pleads guilty: Report
Nedivi had alleged verbal and physical abuse by another student
Lawrence Technological University has come forward to apologize publicly for its handling of college soccer player Noam Nedivi's case of antisemitic abuse from about one year ago.
Nedivi had alleged verbal and physical abuse by another student.
“The student’s complaint should have been handled better. In that way, we failed him and the LTU community, and caused unnecessary pain to our student. We apologize to our student for the hurt caused him," LTU’s administration said in a press release, according to The Daily Wire.
Nedivi was reportedly thrown off the soccer team and not offered protection from a roommate, Zavier Chimienti, who pleaded guilty to "ethnic intimidation and misdemeanor domestic violence" back in October, the news outlet reported.
