Former CNN personality Don Lemon announced the launch of a new show on social media platform X and other venues.
"I've heard you... and today I am back bigger, bolder, freer!" he posted in a statement. "My new media company's first project is The Don Lemon Show. It will be available to everyone, easily, whenever and wherever you want it, streaming on the platforms where the conversations are happening."
"And you'll find it first on X, the biggest space for free speech in the world," he went on. "I know now more than ever that we need a place for honest debate and discussion without the hall monitors. This is just the beginning so stay tuned."
X owner Elon Musk welcomed the launch of the show amid his broader drive to bring content creators to the platform. He joins former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who launched his own program on the platform after his departure from Fox News.
Lemon "parted ways" with CNN in April of last year after a string of scandals involving his commentary on former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley and his alleged squabbles with his female cohosts on the network.
