'Bunch of lies': Biden balks at question on his interactions with brother's, son's business partners

President Joe Biden on Wednesday slapped down a question on his alleged role in the Biden family's business dealings and his reported meetings with the associates of his brother James and son Hunter.

New York Post reporter Steven Nelson had pressed the president on why he interacted with "so many of your son and brother's foreign business associates?" to which Biden angrily retorted "I'm not going to comment. I did not and it's just a bunch of lies."

"They're lies. I did not. They're lies," he repeated.

REPORTER: "Can you explain...why you interacted with so many of your son and brother's foreign business associates?!"

Nelson's question came after House Speaker Mike Johnson on Tuesday announced that the House would hold a formal vote on starting an impeachment inquiry into Biden next week.

"The House has no choice if it’s going to follow its constitutional responsibility to formally adopt an impeachment inquiry on the floor so that when the subpoenas are challenged in court, it will be at the apex of our constitutional authority," Johnson said Tuesday. "This vote is not a vote to impeach President Biden. This is a vote to continue the inquiry of impeachment, and that’s a necessary constitutional step."
