RNC unveils list of 'everyday Americans' to speak at Republican convention

The Republican National Committee on Friday unveiled a slate of "everyday Americans" who will speak at the Republican convention next week and are expected to comment on how they have been affected by President Joe Biden's administration.

The convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, will run from July 15 through July 18, and will feature speeches from faith leaders, GOP officials, entertainers, and members of former President Donald Trump's family. Trump is expected to become the official Republican nominee for president during the three-day event.

Trump's campaign said the "stars of the convention" will be the ordinary Americans, who "have faced immense hardship and are worse off under the Biden-Harris administration."

"President Donald J. Trump’s has a vision to Make America Great Again and policies to lift up all Americans," the Trump campaign said. "The Republican National Convention will provide a platform and voice for the workers, veterans, and families left behind in Joe Biden’s America."

The list of everyday Americans includes war veterans, activists, legal immigrants, and even fraternity members from the University of North Carolina. The fraternity brothers were seen holding up the American flag during anti-Israel protests on their college campus earlier this year, even as the protesters allegedly threw items at them.

• Robert “Bobby” Bartels, Jr., Steamfitters Local 638A business manager
• David Bellavia, Iraqi War Medal of Honor recipient 
• Madeline Brame, criminal justice reform advocate 
• Jim Chilton, fifth generation Arizona rancher 
• Linda Fornos, life insurance worker and legal Nicaraguan immigrant 
• Diane Evans, property manager 
• Vanessa Faura, activist and legal Peruvian immigrant
• Anne Fundner, mother of a fentanyl crisis victim 
• Benjamin Josephs, small businessowner 
• Shabbos Kestenbaum, Jewish Harvard alumnus  
• Erin Koper, activist
• David Lara, business owner and activist
• Mark Laws, retiree and Social Security beneficiary
• Michael Morin, brother of hiker Rachel Morin, who was killed by an illegal immigrant
• Scott Neil, Horse Soldier Bourbon founder and combat veteran  
• John Nieporte, head golf pro at Trump International
• Sarah Phillips, petroleum engineer
• Carrie Ruiz, golf general manager at Trump National Doral  
• Lorenzo Sewell, pastor
• Randy Sutton, Wounded Blue founder and retired law enforcement officer

• Sgt. William Pekrul, World War II veteran

Pekrul, who joined the Army during World War II at the age of 17, was among the U.S. soldiers that stormed the beaches of Normandy, France, during D-Day. He was later awarded two Bronze Stars and a Silver Star for his heroics, according to the Trump campaign.

More information on when the guests will speak, or in what order, has not been released so far.
