Over 36M watched Trump's address to Congress, fewer than any in first term, more than Biden's last

President Donald Trump's address to Congress on Tuesday night drew in 36.6 million television viewers, according to the Nielsen company.
The number was more than the 32.2 million that President Joe Biden got in his final address last year, according to The Associated Press. However, the number is smaller than any of Trump's previous addresses during his first term.
When Trump was president in 2017, his first address to Congress was viewed by 47.7 million people.
Nielson, a company that provides data about media audiences and consumerism, said that 71% of Trump’s television viewers were 55 and older.
