Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump held a rally in Detroit, Michigan where boxing legend Tommy Hearns joined him on stage.

Hearns was in attendance at the Trump rally in Detroit, Michigan on Friday when he was noticed by the former president and called on stage.

"I won so much money betting on this guy.… some of the greatest fights in history," Trump said, referencing Hearns who is in the Boxing Hall of Fame.

Hearns seemed to be in disbelief when Trump praised him, and summoned him on stage.

“Hearing those nice words coming from you, man, this can't be real,” the retired boxer said.

Hearns was the first boxer to become a world champion in five different weight classes, and his professional career spanned from 1977 to 2006.

He had the nickname of "Hitman.”
